First Lady Inshallah Minter

First Lady Inshallah Minter — known warmly as Shallah — is married to the love of her life, Henry Christopher Minter, Senior Pastor of The Historic Bethsaida Baptist Church. Through holy matrimony they are the proud parents of their teenage son, Daryus J. Evans. A Northern California native with a heart for all people, Lady Minter has a unique gift for connecting with the seasoned saints as well as the youth and young adults of the church, carrying the light of God into every room she enters.

In Oakland, California, First New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church became her home under the leadership of her father, Pastor Jerry L. Blackmon. In her youth she became active in ministry, serving in the audio-visual and music ministries, and at the tender age of fourteen she accepted the call as choir director. Today she continues to partner with faith-based ministries as a Psalmist and Worship Leader.

Professionally, Lady Minter is a Certified Foster Care Case Worker with the State of Georgia, where she advocates for the safety and well-being of youth and their families. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a focus in Television from Dillard University in New Orleans, and later a Master of Arts in Multimedia with a focus in Production from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. During her college years she was an on-air radio personality known as “DJ Holla-Shallah.”

First Lady Shallah delights in serving in God's kingdom. If she isn't on the front pew supporting the love of her life, you may find her in the AV production booth, in the choir, or wherever there is a need — living out Colossians 3:23–24: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
